Christmas Break & Snow Machine

We traveled to Missouri and back safely.  Here are some pictures from our visit.

Landing in Seattle, WA after hopping from island to island.

Hello Seattle.

Back in Missouri!

We had fun spending time with our little friends.  They wanted to come with us.

We loved holding our youngest baby niece.

Uncle Fan-o and Aunt Holly with some nephews at Dickey's BBQ, yum!

We ate out quite a bit during our visit.  We didn't get to all the places on our list, but we did make it to McDonald's, Taco Bell, Steak 'n' Shake, Papa John's, Midway Chinese, Dickey's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Applebee's, Dairy Queen, Outback, and Starbucks.

Deer in the front yard.

Rogers' Christmas, Papa Kenny reading the Christmas story.

Time for presents.

Fancy Christmas lunch.

It snowed our last night in St. Louis.

On our way back, flying over Anchorage.

Downtown Anchorage and the Cook Inlet.

Snow City, our favorite cafe in Anchorage.

Bulk grocery shopping take #2.  This saves a lot of money on shipping and I get to do the shopping myself.  Instead of going to Sam's Club, like I did in August, I went to Wal-Mart.  I shopped for a larger variety of foods, rather than large quantities.

We put them into these totes, drilled holes in the top, and zip tied them closed.  This time we mailed them Priority and they arrived the same week, instead of Parcel Post (which we did in August and it took a month).  Also, we brought back 50 lbs. of fresh foods (cheese, milk, lettuce, veggies, frozen meat, etc.) in a cooler as a checked bag at the airport.

Leaving Anchorage heading for St. Mary's.

Leaving St. Mary's for Alakanuk.

Frozen tundra.

What do ya know?  We got more snow!

Happy New Year in the village!  The Tribal Council put on a big fireworks show.

Nathaniel went to Emmo to pick up our new snow machine.

She is beautiful...

Taking a ride to the post office, watching the sunset.

Friday night the girls surprised me by coming over and organizing my pantry.  (with all my groceries I got in Anchorage)

Stocked up and organized for the winter.  Thanks friends!

The snowy high school, gym, and deck.  Happy New Year!  Back to School!
