Let It Snow

This week I made Nathaniel's mom's staple cookie, Oatmeal Scotchies (the recipe is on the back of the butterscotch bag).  Also made some Betty Crocker Mac and Cheese... new favorite!

 First Quarter Awards Assembly:

What I'm reading now: "Three Cups of Tea," eye-opening and inspiring.

Moose steaks and mashed potatoes.

Cutie patootie.

An empty, quiet gym.

My classroom (left red door) absorbs all the smells from the kitchen next door.

Friday night, I helped chaperone the dance.  Jana leading the "cupid shuffle."

Not shy dancing in the spotlight.

Eventually we turned on the lights and just had an open gym.  The four girls in the front kept dancing and putting on a great show!

Cleaning the tub on a Saturday morning, woohoo!

Due to the snow and wind, the lights at school went off about three different times last week.  This was during my plan period, working by flashlight.

Tuesday morning the snow starting coming down.

Walking home from school.  Who needs fake window frost paint?

The snow is so powder-like that the wind can blow it into cool looking drifts.

Snow drifts on a truck outside the clinic.

Sunset, 4:30pm

4-foot snow drifts outside our porch.

Going to eat dinner at the cafe by snow machine!

Remembering... eating at the cafe at the end of August.

 Snow covered mid-November.

We hitched a sled ride in the back of the snow machine... frozen together!
