Thanksgiving & A Snow Machine


Our warmest day last week was 9 degrees, but the average has been zero.
 


 All the snow we have is just from one day (that Tuesday that it poured).  A lot of people are saying the snow was very late this year, and this amount is below average.  The benefit to light snow is that it gives the river a chance to freeze up before it gets tons of snow.  Right now, the ice on the river is about a foot thick.

The snow is packed pretty good because of all the snow machines that are out on the road.


On Thanksgiving, we got together with some of the teachers and had a big feast up at school.

This week we made our biggest purchase yet.  A snow machine!! We bought a brand new 2013 Ski-Doo Grand Touring Sport 550F... which means we will have the freedom to travel to other villages and have a lot more fun this winter.  Here's what it will look like:
