Pie Face and Volleyball

This weekend we had a home volleyball tournament, so we held a pep assembly the day before.

At the assembly, the volleyball team burst threw this banner.

The team participated in a pie eating contest.

The winner of the contest got to pie a teacher in the face.

During the week, students voted which teacher they wanted to see pied in the face.  Nathaniel got the most votes, so he got pied in the face!

Getting ready...

Rubbing the pie in his beard...

Nathaniel chasing the student down, to get some friendly revenge...

Might as well enjoy it...

Being a good sport about it...

We get the STL Post-Dispatch, thanks to my momma.
We also have TV this year so we can root on the Cardinals!

At school this week, my 7th and 8th graders joined the Kindergarten class to help with a craft and buddy read.

Helping with sight words.

Making an 8-legged spider and getting some practice with scissors.

They love being the "big kids."

Some were excited to get to work with their siblings, like this brother and sister.

Learning letters.

The volleyball tournament started Friday immediately after school.  Here are two of the refs.

Our volleyball team warming up.  The volleyball in our school district is called "Mix-6" which means 6 players play on the court and the teams are co-ed.

Our team went undefeated for the tournament. Go Braves!

We have had our little friends over more.  They like to cuddle on the bean bag with Nathaniel.

Our other new little friend.  Playing with a ping pong ball.

Three monkeys, piled up eating blueberries.

We love books.
