Lap-ball Game

Nathaniel's kids played their first "Lap-ball Game" on Friday out at the old airport.

Kids walking to the old airport for the game.

Dividing into two teams.

Nathaniel soft tossed to each kid.

When the batter hits the ball, they can choose to run to the back line, or stay and wait for the next batter to hit, and then run.

If the ball is caught, then the teams switch.

These two runners are about to score a point each for their team.  Instead of running around bases, the hitter runs a lap, down to the back line and back without being tagged.

Three girls lined up, waiting to run because they already batted.

I was score keeper.

After the game, we borrowed a friend's Argo (amphibious vehicle, can drive on land and float in water) and hopped in to pick up some things from the store.

I had a shopping helper.

Walking with her momma.

The slough had a steady stream along the bank.

I have never seen this truck before.  It looks new, except for the freshly broken windshield.
